Eva Kiltz
After finishing studies in Saxophone and music education in 2000, Eva Kiltz left her lovely hometown Mainz in Southwest Germany to head for thrilling Berlin. In 2002 she made her university degree in media and cultural management and started working as a freelance promoter, working with well known Berlin world music promoter Frank Klaffs for several labels and musicians. Together they realized the press relations for international world music conference WOMEX in 2001 and 2002. In 2002 she gained first insight into political lobbying for independent music companies, when VUT’s regional group “Label Commission Berlin” was founded, managed by Frank Klaffs. In 2004 Eva Kiltz became general manager of VUT and is still glad to run the associations headquarter in Berlin Kreuzberg. Working on the improvement of the basic conditions for 1.200 independent music companies is the best thing I ever did. From 2005 on Eva Kiltz is representing VUT in the board of the European Association of Independent Music Companies Impala.
